Fall Essential : The dressed-up sweatshirt!

Everything about the sweatshirt is great (except the name). It's soft, comfortable and can be paired with almost anything. I'm so glad that designers love sweatshirts so much that they decided to dress them up a bit. I have fully embraced this trend by getting a jeweled one and a sequined one. I'm looking to collect some more in the winter to layer over my button down shirts.

Here are some of my favorites.

Zara - $59.90

Aeropostale - $14

Kohls - $28.80

Asos sweatshirt - $39.16

Target graphic sweatshirt - $19.99
Jeweled sweatshirt - $19.99

Are you loving this sweatshirt rage? For a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, there is really no way to make style simpler.

Catching up on food!

I write a post and I blink and ten days have rushed past. I have been cooking a lot of old favorites, hence the lack of new recipes.

Here is what's been cookin'!

Blondie bars in the form of a cake
A strawberry cake for fruit and flower anniversary (4th)
You've seen this cake before here.

Chewy chocolate chip cookies for everyone
And the cookies here
Hot and spicy chole for those cold night (no oil!)

MIL made some delicious rava laddoos.
A very yummy and very EASY spinach lasagna

Layer wilted spinach and whole wheat lasagna with tomato vodka pasta sauce. Bake. Yum!

That's it on the food front. I will come back with a haul post. I bought a bunch of stuff last month that I would love to show you all.

Sweater Weather Tag!

I did a I love spring tag several months ago and had so much fun with it so here are my answers for the new tag of the season.

The modified Sweater Weather tag by itsmelexie1 from youtube.

Here are my answers -

1. Favorite Candle Scent -

I'm still loving the cinnamon, berry and cloves candle I got from Target. I also love the Eucalyptus-Mint candle from BBW.

2. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate?

How about combining two?  I loooove white chocolate coconut milk latte from a small coffee shop that I went to in SF and chocolate chai latte from Starbucks. They seem like grown up versions of my all time favorite but kinda boring hot chocolate.

3. Best Fall Memory?

This is my second fall in the US. Last year I had a great anniversary and this year it was even better with a visit to the Chihuly museum and Space Needle. I throughly enjoyed the experience.

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?

I haven't mastered the winged eyeliner yet, so I am going to go with dark lips. My current favorite fall shade is Blissful Berry by Maybelline Colorsensationals. It's dark without being goth and lasts really long and is super glamourous.

5. What do you want to be for Halloween?

Ah well, halloween is over and I dressed up as part sugar skull/part siren. It was so much fun!!

6. Favorite Thanksgiving food?

I'm a vegetarian, so I stick to mashed potatoes and sweet potato dishes.

7. Hats or Scarves?

I love scarves but I never wear them, so neither.

8. Most worn sweater?

This salt and pepper open knit sweater from Express that I got last year. I also adore this sweatshirt from Old Navy and wear it almost everyday.. lol.

9. Favorite fall nail polish?

I'm loving Essie's Bahama Mama. My bottle is streaky but others don't seem to have the problem. The color is so so beautiful though.

10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?

Jumping in leaf piles. With Maddie, of course!

11. Skinny jeans or leggings?

Skinny Jeans. Leggings and tunics are not that flattering on me.

12.  Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?

Not at all. I also hate cinnamon in every single thing.

13. What's your #1 favorite thing about fall?

I love the rich colours of the trees and all the apple based food that I can eat.

14. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?

I don't know about fall spirit but I'm really enjoying the song Safe and Sound by Capital Cities!
