Ethnic Decorating

Since I moved to the US, I have sorely missed not only Indian fashion but also Indian decorating. The brass antiques and handcrafted items. When I was in Hyderabad, I used to regularly visit ShilpaRamam which was a craft village. Amazing talent. So when I was asked by Aniika to check out their online handicraft store, I was really excited.

Here are some of my favourites from their home decoration pieces.

FTC disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post.

The iPad cover with its colourful bunting - which is a type of decoration with a string of flags reminds me a lot of the wedding festivities put up in my house. The tea light holder in hot pink is super cool as they will brighten up any part of your house. The paisley tea light holders are so unique and so Indian in their look and feel. Did you know that the paisley design originated from India? I also really loved this purple lotus clock. Lotus is associated with royalty. I have always loved lotus motif and I'm glad that it is getting really popular.

The store also has a beautiful selection of jewellery.

Pearl Bangles - $101
Pearl necklace - $32
Turquoise leaf necklace - $74
Turquoise kundan earrings - $42
Gold dipped leaf earrings - $56 (real leaf dipped in gold)
Reversible polki earrings - $36

What do you think of these products? Do you love handicrafts too? Where is your shopping destination for Indian fashion here in the US??

Thanks for reading,
