Sexy pout...

Lets end this series of Diwali posts with a bang. No outfit is complete without the perfect makeup.. Enter Lakme Winter 2010 collection.

Heat up your winter with these bold colours from the Gypsy collection Winter 2010 from Lakme India. The collection is by designer Malini Ramani. the collection inclused a blush trio, eye shadow quartet, lip gloss, lipsticks, nail polishes and a satin kajal. Of course my favourite would be the lip palette with five gorgeous terracotta colours that are oh so flattering for the dusky woman. Not that it wouldn't work for you porcelain dolls. What I love the most is the ability to layer them for darker or lighter shades. Moreover you can mix these shades to get something perfect for your complexion. Light up your diwali with a beautiful smile that only comes out of finding your perfect lip colour. This beautiful palette could be yours for INR 600. Lakme doesn't have an online shopping portal yet. But you can find this in any cosmetic counter in a supermarket. Happy Diwali everyone...

Light up...

I have been hunting for the perfect Diwali sari for some time now. I was keen on finding a red one as you know the colour red stands for prosperity. It shouldn't have any black in it and it shouldn't be too much of a rainbow fest. It had to be festive without being OTT, so I can wear it again and again... I think i found a perfect Sari.. What do you think?

This gorgeous red sari embodies Diwali so beautifully. The lush red colour representing prosperity. The beautiful gold border and the mango designed embroidery which look like little festival lights on the sari. The sari is a net sari with a patchwork border. Go big and wear it with a big bold maan-tikka like the model to dress up your diwali. Pair with simple diamond studs for an evening out. Work in beads for a casual shopping look. Its a light and versatile design which would make it fun to wear even on the non-festival days. This beautiful sari is brought to you by RMKV and it can be yours for INR 2300.00. Showstopping elegance...

Im a huge lover of antique jewellery. Indian temple jewellery is a beautiful testament to exquisite craftsmanship and taste. For this diwali, bring home prosperity in the form of these gold earrings...

These beautiful earrings are square jhumkas. The earring tops feature a single uncut ruby. The jhumkas are 3 rows of uncut rubies in each side. The elegant design is finished off by a double row of gold and pearl cluster drops. Iam obviously in love with this. So elegant and so pretty. A playful twist with a square shape rather than the usual bell shaped jhumka...The rich colour and tone of the uncut rubies... The contrast with the little pearls... So much beauty.. These beautiful earrings could be yours for INR 46,600.00. The earring weight is 18.610 gms in 22K gold. Gold prices are steadily rising everyday, so do confirm the price before your final purchase. These earrings are from Recollection - an antique themed collection from Mehta Jewellery. You can buy the earrings from the following link..

OTT Goddess...

Diwali is around the corner.. so forgive me if the next few posts are OTT. This is the time where I spend all my hard earned cash throught the year on OTT, gorgeous stuff... I invite you to do the same.. : D

Strappy heels are the ultimate way to show off your pedicured feet. Added beauty are the jewelled embellishments on the upper part of the sandal. The rest of the sandal is a metallic bronze. Jewels for your feet.. ah the thought makes me weak.. This one features blue stones. It also has a red stone variation in  a black and bronze backdrop. I would love to wear the blue silk sari with this. I know matchy matchy is not in.. but i would wear contrasting jewellery to make it work. Plus it would be lovely, a hint of blue sparkle as you rush past the crackers and sparklers. This gorgeous pair of sandals could be yours for INR 1490.00. You can buy them from the following link,

Modesty Rules...

After a round of VS, I felt like I had to post something modest.. and what is more perfect than an elegant silk sari.. ?  My love for Indian clothes is based on the burst of colour in most of them...

I have a strange weakness for checks.. and peacock blue.. and yummy yellows.. So this is my dream come true..  I love the richness of the colour of the sari and the border which is compliments the purity of the silk. I love the demure ancient but versatile design of checks in the body of the sari. The Pallav is a simple yellow with gold zari which  compliments the border and the blouse. Such a vision.. Such an expensive simplicity.. Love it.. This sari is from RMKV and will cost you INR 4,400.00. The price includes the blouse material. You can buy this slice of elegance from the following link..
